URJA Gas Heating System for Injection Molding Machines

This system replaces the existing electric band heaters fitted on the barrel and is operated on LPG. This system is fully automatic, safe and highly economical.

We have made special heating arrangements using designed copper sleeve and cover to ensure uniform heating all over the barrel. The original machine PLC controller will be used For the nozzle heating, the existing electric heaters are used due to space constraints. The system is operator friendly. We also train the operator and maintenance staff on operation & maintenance of the URJA Gas Heating System during installation at site.

Production trials on Injection Molding Machines were taken with all types of engineering polymers like SAN Transparent, Delrin, Nylon Glass Fill, PC, PP, ABS, PPCP & LD. No change in the end product quality on these machines has been observed when compared to conventional electrical heating. The first machine was converted in the March 2006. We have converted different makes of machines namely Pratishna , L T, Electronica, Hy Tech, Haitian, Hwamda. From 60 tons to 150 Ton capacity.

Increased Productivity

Gas heating gives constant heat which results not only in better quality of product but also increases the productivity due to increased machine speed.

Electrical load gets free

By taking care of the heating load which is a major contributor for the power requirement of corrugation machine, this electrical load gets free and more machines can be added with out additional electrical load.

Less operating cost

The Operating cost is low. The equivalent cost of 1 KW with LPG is Rs. 5.20. & with PNG (Pipe Natural Gas) is Rs. 4.55.

Safe

The system has auto ignition hence easy to fire the burner. The flame sensor fitted on the burner gives the feedback as soon as the burner is ignited and keeps the solenoid valve open. In case of failure to ignite this feedback is given back and the gas solenoid is put off. This ensures that no gas comes out of the burner. This can be easily noticed from the LED Indicator provided on the control panel. This is independent for each burner in the system.

Dependability

LPG / PNG is always available for industrial use.

Long Term

Very easy to operate and the cost of maintenance is negligible. Adequate trained staff can ensure the system working for a long time.
